The following are answers to some of the questions we hear most often from our travelers. Check back often, as we'll keep this page updated as we hear new inquiries.
Q: I see the two packages listed on the site but are there others offered?
A: Yes, and we can also customize your package to meet your needs. Simply click on the “Request a Quote” page and fill in the fields and someone will get back with you within 24-48 hours with a quote.
Q: Are the rates posted on the website the same for Residents and Non Residents?
A: No. All rates posed on our website are Non Residents (or Residents living outside of the Northern California Counties). For quotes on Resident packages please list that you are a Resident (and which Northern California County you live in) when filling in the Request a Quote information and we will send along the appropriate pricing.
Q: It looks like the packages listed are for a weekend getaway but do you also offer weekday packages?
A: Yes, we do offer weekday packages (Monday – Thursday) and because golf course rates are less expensive Monday – Thursday the packages are also discounted accordingly.
Q: Are there other courses that can be played besides Presidio, Half Moon Bay and Harding Park?
A: Yes, there are many more in the Bay Area that we can certainly package with your trip. The three listed are closest to the hotel and are considered the best public access courses in the city of San Francisco. Other courses we can book for your trip include but are not limited to: Stonetree, Peacock Gap, Crystal Springs, Lincoln Park, The Course at Wente Vineyards, and many others.
Q:Do the packages offer replay rounds?
A: The prices listed on our website do NOT include replay rounds but each participating course does have replay pricing. Just make sure to mention your desire to schedule replay rounds when booking your trip and they can be added to any package.
Q: Do you have to pre-pay for the packages?
A: Due to the fact that the Hotel rooms and Golf Tee Times must be booked in advance, all packages must be pre-paid. We accept Cashiers Check, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Discover.
Q: I see Restaurants listed within the website. Is or can food be included in any of the packages?
A: The restaurants listed on the website are our recommendations only. We can certainly make reservations for you at any of these locations or one of your personal favorites to make your trip easier. At this point the packages only include Golf and Hotel fees.
Q: I would like to rent a car and have viewed the options you have available but I have heard that parking is expensive in the San Francisco area. Is this true?
A: Because we are one of the largest cities in America, parking can be at a premium. The Golf Courses do not charge for parking but the Hotel does charge a daily rate and many of the restaurants will either have charges for parking or metered areas around the facility.
Q: Are there any Hotel options besides the Grand Hyatt?
A: The Grand Hyatt has worked exclusively with San Francisco Golf & Travel to create our package offerings and all of our rates will be competitive with any other venue in San Francisco. The Grand Hyatt is our Host Hotel and only option at this point.
Q: I see that Double Occupancy is required to maintain the Package Rates. What does this mean?
A: The Hotel Rates offered through our packages are based on 2 people sharing a room. Therefore if only one person is going to occupy the room there will be a greater charge for the single occupancy to cover the cost of the room each night.
